Dr. Russell T. Cephas, Jr. is the Founder and President of Church Growth International, Inc, the largest minority church consultant ministry in America today. He has been married to his wife, Jackie, for 33 years, and they have three adult children. He is the former Executive Director of Highways and Hedges Ministries, a ministry devoted to urban evangelism and evangelistic crusades.Dr. Cephas' ministry has taken him to more than 40 countries around the world, and he is one of the most sought-after evangelism and church-growth consultants today. He has pastored several churches successfully, where he implemented innovative and creative evangelism and church-growth principles. In addition, Dr. Cephas has been involved in planting more than 212 churches throughout America and many nations around the world. He is known for his work in missions ministry and his unique anointing for restoring the passion for evangelism in the local church.Dr. Cephas holds an A.A. degree in Social Services and Education, a B.A. degree in Sociology, and a second B.A. degree in Church Ministry and Evangelism, an M.A. degree in Missiology and Church Growth, a second M.A. degree in Education Administration of Christian Schools with a special emphasis on Bible Schools and Institutes, and a Doctoral degree in Theology. He is a member of Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities as well as the North American Society of Church GrowthDr. Cephas is the former chairman of the Graduate Missions Board of Oral Roberts University, which governs international missions ministry to several countries around the world. He also is the former International Director of Church Planting in A.M.E. Church, the third largest black denomination in America, from 1991 until 1999.
