Jazz on the Chesapeake, one of Chesapeake Music's programs, is in the business of surprises and never more so than this December 11th. Chuck Redd, recently recognized by Hot House Jazz magazine as the nation's best vibraphonist in 2015, has assembled an All-Star band to create holiday magic. Capturing this musical surprise is pianist Ted Rosenthal who just days earlier is headlining a concert at Lincoln Center performing Gershwin's Concerto for Piano in F major. Ted will be appearing with Chuck and taking the piano lead. He is likely to include songs that are featured in his album Wonderland. Turn up your speaker, click on the album cover below, enjoy a musical journey and then join us for Wonderland live at The Academy Art Museum. This December 11 concert starts at 8:00 PM and is being held at the Academy Art Museum. Chesapeake Music brings world-class chamber music and jazz to audiences both young and old on Maryland's Eastern Shore and beyond. CM presents a 13-event, two-week long chamber music festival each June, a jazz festival each Labor Day weekend, an international competition for young chamber ensembles, and occasional concerts throughout the year.
