Charles began his career in Milwaukee, as a maintenance worker for a local Milwaukee brewery and in 1920, he set out on his own and launched Charles Schmidt & Sons Construction. The company provides complete construction management, general contracting and design/build services for projects ranging in value from $250,000 to $100 million.
