Cedar's Mediterranean Foods is a leading producer and distributor of hommus and a variety of other Mediterranean food products. The company s strict standards have earned it the American Culinary Institute s Gold Seal of Excellence for all of its hommus products. It was also judged America's Best Hommus by the American Tasting Institute from 2001-05. Some of the other products available from Cedar s include salads, wraps, fruit spreads, halva, salsa, crackers and bruschetta. In 2005, the company moved into a new 88,000-square-foot production facility in Ward Hill, Mass. It is one of the only major manufacturers of hommos that steams its own chickpeas to give its products a fresher and more natural homemade taste. Its hommos is trans fat-free, saturated fat-free, cholesterol-free, wheat-free and low in net carbohydrates.
