Founded in 1958, CASA of Maryland is a community organization that offers a range of vocational training, financial literacy and employment programs. The organization conducts classes in Spanish and English for Speakers of Other Languages. It also provides legal, social, health and advocacy solutions. The organization operates a vocational training school, as well as a multicultural center that is spread across an area of more than 15,000 square feet. It is one of the largest Latino and immigrant organizations in Maryland. The organization provides services for low-income women, workers and tenants. CASA of Maryland is a recipient of the Families Count award from The Annie E. Casey Foundation. It is a member of the National Capital Immigrant Coalition and the Coalition for Comprehensive Immigration Reform. In addition, the organization has partnerships with the National Trust Community Investment Corporation and Washington Adventist Hospital.
