Bob Hill and Len Worden started Carolina Precast Concrete in 1983 after realizing the need for a high performance, precast concrete products facility in the Carolinas. It has grown to become one of the largest precast concrete suppliers in North Carolina. The company designs and fabricates custom molds, special fittings and accessories, as well as produces an array of drainage structures, water and sewer structures and telephone and electrical products. It was one of the first precasters to introduce precast catch basins, box culverts, endwalls and drop structures to North Carolina. Carolina Precast Concrete has a 35,000-square-foot plant on 58 acres in Dunn, N.C.
