The cream of the crop for residents throughout New England, Cabot Creamery produces a variety of cheeses, including specialty cheddars, aged cheddars, light cheddars, flavored cheddars and other flavors. It is owned and operated by more than 1,500 farmers from the Cabot area of Vermont, nearly 100 of who first organized the creamery in 1919. The creamery s premier product is its Cabot Vermont cheddar, which was named Best Cheddar in the World at the 1998 Biennial World Championship Cheese Contest. Cabot Creamery is located in Montpelier, Vt. Its other awards and honors have included recognition from the International Dairy Deli Bakery Association, the U.S. Championship Cheese Contest and the American Cheese Society.
