Briarlake Baptist Church, established in 1958, is affiliated to the Clairmont Hills Baptist Church and Atlanta Baptist Association. The church offers a variety of ministries to its congregation including worship and music, Bible study for all age groups, Sunday school, special events for children and young adults, sporting events, camps and retreats. The church has sponsored the establishment of the Smoke Rise Baptist Church in DeKalb County and Atkinson Road Baptist Church in Gwinnett County, Ga., and has given financial support to numerous mission churches across the United States. Since 1985, the church has offered English classes to students from Argentina, Bulgaria, Cambodia, China, Columbia, El Salvador, Estonia, France, Greece, Honduras, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, South Korea, Puerto Rico, Russia, Taiwan, Turkey and Venezuela. The church is located in Decatur, Ga.
