Since its inception in 1948, BloodSource has been one of the leading blood centers in the world. It specializes in collecting blood donations and providing life-saving blood products. . Located in Merced, Calif., it offers programs/services, such as blood collection, marrow and blood stem cell collection, national marrow donor program, specialized testing, volunteer programs as well as medical consultation. The center has delivered blood to over 40 hospitals in 25 counties in areas ranging from Merced to the Oregon border, from Vacaville to Lake Tahoe. Its laboratories have received accreditations from International Council for Commonality in Blood Banking Automation Inc.
