Blacksburg Public Works Department, located in Blacksburg, Va., is responsible for the operation and maintenance of public facilities, infrastructure and landscape. It also installs and maintains public storm drainage systems that include storm sewers, catch basins, yard inlets, drainage ditches and holding ponds. The utility division offers utility billing services for new water and sewer accounts. The department owns and operates a cemetery that provides opening and closing graves.
