The Black Woods Grill & Bar story began in 1994. The company s goal was to preserve the charm of a small town cafe with a level of sophistication found in upscale restaurants. With that in mind, the first Black Woods was opened in Two Harbors, Minn. In 1996 the Proctor, Minn., restaurant was opened in a newly constructed AmericInn motel to offer a full-service banquet and conference center. In 1997, Black Woods on the Lake opened to greet guests throughout the state. The banquet center seats 10 to 300 people, has a full-service bar, features gourmet dinners and high-speed Internet access. Packages include weddings, reunions, conventions, banquets, meetings, holiday parties, anniversaries and athletic banquets. The restaurants menu includes appetizers, chicken, seafood, pizza, combo meals, salads, sandwiches, steaks, ribs, chops and pasta. Black Woods Grill & Bar has a location in Proctor, Minn.
