About Beth El Beth El is an egalitarian Conservative synagogue founded in 1924. It began on Park Place and spent many years on Cooke Street in Waterbury. Beth El is now located at the Walzer Family Jewish Community Campus in Southbury and provides an intimate, Conservative synagogue experience for Jews in the greater Waterbury and Danbury areas. Services Update To accomodate special circumstances, the next Shabbat services at Beth El will be held Friday evening, January 7. There will be one more service during 2010, Thursday morning, December 30 at 9: 00 a.m. Transportation Available The Southbury Senior Services Department is offering transportion for evening services at Beth El on the first and third Friday of each month.
