Beckner & Associates, Inc. began as a brokerage company offering sales and leasing, in response to clients needs, Beckner expanded into investment, development and property management. Beckner was involved in the development of 10 Sonic Restaurants, participated in the land assemblage for three Target Super Centers, and has leased or sold many millions of dollars worth of commercial real estate. He has also been directly responsible for the development of several office and industrial buildings and is currently developing a major shopping center. This diversity of experience allows Mr. Beckner to meet the varied needs of his clients.
Mr. Beckner and Associates feels part of their responsibility is to educate their clients so they can make wise decisions. This educational focus is a result of Pat Beckners career in the field of Education. He served as a math teacher, assistant principal, principal and assistant superintendent. He holds a BA in Mathematics, a MAT degree in Math Education, as well as a Ph.D. in Educational Administration. He brought his skills and knowledge to commercial real estate with a career that included a number of years at the top companies in the Kansas City metro, before he launched Beckner and Associates in 1989.
Mr. Beckner is a Kansas City native, spending only 2 years of his life outside the area. With a strong belief in his community, Pat Beckner dedicated his energies to the Commercial Real Estate Community. Beckner served on the Board of Directors for Johnson County Commercial Division of the Board of Realtors before becoming President. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Johnson County Board of Realtors. The combination of a life spent within the area, degrees in education, working in commercial real estate and serving in leadership roles, Mr. Beckner brings a unique understanding of the dynamics and growth of the community.
