Your Southern Colorado Adventure Starts Here... ...in the largest alpine valley in the world, at an elevation of 7500 feet, just minutes from the headwaters of the historic Rio Grande River, with breathtaking 360 degree views of the 14,000 ft. peaks of the Sangre De Cristo mountain range on the east, the Sawatch range on the north, the San Juan range on the west, and the Taos Plateau on the south. Visit the tallest dunes in North America at the Great Sand Dunes National Monument, hike up the Blanca Peak trail and check out the view from over 14,000 feet, fish the Rio Grande river, relax in the natural springs that gush from the desert floor, or take a train ride into the past on the Rio Grande Railroad.
