In 1992 the Grovers were stationed at the University of New Hampshire. They purchased an old farmhouse with an attached post and beam barn on sixteen acres of land. They restored the old farmhouse maintaining its original look. In September of 1992 Anita opened Back To Basics Childcare. Her business grew rapidly. Anita named it Back To Basics Childcare because she wanted to give children the opportunity to step back to the basics. Her program does not have television or battery operated toys. Everything is kid powered. Anita has been in the childcare field for more than twenty years. From 1997 to 2002 the Grovers were also foster parents to a total of twelve children. Her continuing education includes attending over two hundred hours of childcare workshops. She is both CPR and First Aid certified. In Dec 2004 Anita was awarded her Child Development Associates ( CDA ) degree. She thoroughly enjoys this career choice. She chose this field because she wants to create a safe, loving place for children to grow ; providing a place where children would be reassured that they are awesome and unique. Anita wants to share this experience with as many children as she can during her lifetime.
