Artisan Decks and Arbors is owned and operated by Matthew Fuller. He began building decks in 1991 for his father’s deck company, Custom Decks and More , the leading boat slip and deck builder on Lake Conroe. Matthew was trained by his father who is a skilled craftsman, known for his astute attention to detail and eye for creating unique custom designs. Matthew and his wife, Ashleigh, moved to Austin in order to attend the University of Texas. After graduation, Matthew decided to carry on the family business and begin building decks in the Austin area. He is dedicated to continuing his father’s tradition of building the highest quality products with the best available materials. While many other deck companies try to build decks as fast as possible, we believe in quality over quantity. We know that a deck is an important investment for a homeowner, adding to the value of a home. We strive to ensure that you will get the best quality deck possible. We believe the frame on which a deck is built is just as important as the finished product. After all, if the structure is compromised, the deck will not be safe or durable. This is why we hand-select the materials we use and take the time to ensure the framing is sturdy and solid before we begin laying the final deck boards.
