The Arthritis and Osteoporosis Center, founded in 1981, is a medical center specializing in the treatment of arthritis. It is one of the pioneers in procedures used in arthritis research, such as arthroscopy and magnetic resonance imaging. The center is also among the first to develop procedures including office-based intravenous regimens for rheumatoid arthritis, epidural blocks and arthroscopy. Its staff is certified in these procedures and in the latest intravenous infusion techniques irequired to administer up-to-date arthritis therapies. The clinic has published more than 60 research articles in medical journals such as the Lancet and the Journal of Clinical Rheumatology. The Arthritis and Osteoporosis Center is located in Frederick, Md.
