Art Connections is an education center that provides hands-on art experiences for the visitors of all ages. It houses various interactive exhibits that encourage physical activity and quiet contemplation. The center also includes exhibits that promote individual exploration and group interaction. Art Connections allows visitors to make collages, as well as create patterns. It is a part of The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens, which is one of the largest cultural institutions in the Southeast. Founded in 1961, The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens features a variety of paintings, sculptures, drawings and photographs created by European masters and American impressionists. The museum also houses a collection of statuaries, funerary objects, and pottery and jewelry items. It has been recognized as one of the leading child-friendly museums in the United States by the Child Magazine.
