Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner Amy Maxwell came by medicine naturally. With a father and mother who met in the operating room as doctor and nurse. Her nursing career began at Moffitt Cancer Center in Bone Marrow Transplant, in addition to working in pediatric open heart and adult intensive care units. She went back to school and got a business degree and worked in the biotech industry in medical affairs and training. She chose a third career as ARNP because it gave her the opportunity to see a variety health concerns and to continue learning in her field. A member of American Nurses Association, Florida Nurses Association, Florida Association of Nurse Practitioners (FLANP), FLANP Legislative Action Team Member, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and Tampa Bay Advanced Practice Nurse Council, Amy enjoys the opportunity to direct and support patients as they strive for optimum health. Her patients feel that she is easy to talk to and more importantly, that theyve been heard. She is proud to support The Spring of Tampa Bay, The Humane Society of Tampa Bay and Heifer International. In her off time, Amy enjoys reading, binge-watching Netflix, traveling and spending time with her family and their pets.
