ALS Affiliates Inc. is a privately owned company that has provided quality emergency medical training to the people of Nebraska for over 15 years. We have provided in-hospital BLS, ACLS and PALS training to most of the major hospital facilities in Omaha, as well as many across the State of Nebraska ( yes, we travel! ). We are credentialed by the American Heart Association ( AHA ) to provide AHA sanctioned programs in BLS, ACLS, PALS and First Aid as an AHA Training Center, and the State of Nebraska to provide Emergency Medical Services ( EMS ) training as an EMS Training Agency. We have a large instructor pool from diverse fields of expertise to include EMT-Basic through Paramedic, LPNs, RNs, CRNAs, Respiratory Therapists, DOs and MDs. This diversity allows us to offer the student a wealth of information and experience in both the pre-hospital and in-hospital realms in our courses, providing the student with a much more well-rounded training experience. Have you ever attended a class where the comment was made: "The instructors all work in the hospital ; my training is pre-hospital based:. We strive to have instructors from all areas of patient care in our courses, to provide the prehospital student with the training they need and a better understanding of what will happen to their patient after they enter the hospital and the ramifications of their prehospital treatment. Conversely, the in-hospital based student will receive training geared toward their patient care area, and also gain a better understanding of pre-hospital protocols and why they are done that way. In this way, ALS Affiliates Inc provides training geared toward the betterment of total patient care!Per AHA guidelines, we are required to make the following statement: " The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course material, do not represent income to the Association".
