Algood Food Company s private label retail customers include chains, wholesalers and major buying cooperatives. It began business at its Louisville, Ky. headquarters in 1985, primarily packing private-label peanut butter. In 1993, the company began production of jellies and preserves. Algood expanded its markets to include industrial, food service, export and contract manufacturing and the United States Government. Algood s export markets include Europe, the Middle East, the Caribbean and the Pacific Basin.
