Alabama Baptist Children's Homes, established in 1891, is a child and family care agency offering Christ-centered services throughout Alabama. The children's home provides shelter for children and youth at campuses in Decatur and Mobile, and group homes in Mobile, Dothan, Gardendale, Oxford and Alabaster, Ala. It also licenses, trains and equips foster families who provide care in their homes for children and youth. The agency provides specialized care to mothers with dependent children. Its professional counseling services include marriage enrichment seminars, assistance to individuals and couples to strengthen parenting skills, and divorce recovery. The ministry has partnerships with Alabama churches, Baptist associations and community groups, and is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability.
