The owner of this business started in this industry in 1980 on the island of Oahu, in 1987 he saw that Maui desperately needed a company which could certify, perform required maintenance, install and recharge fire systems for Maui's restaurants, the cost for these services were sky rocketing since all venders were from Oahu. Bryan Marks Set up shop for a now defunct business where he performed all operations of the business from secretary to system installer. In 1997 when the company was sold to a mainland firm Bryan decided to form Advanced Fire Protection, LLC. Now 15 Years later it is still the only local company that is fully staffed here on Maui to serve the Restaurants and Hotels of Maui, with son Andrew slowly taking over the business Bryan can still be seen out in the field from time to time.
