Abuelo s Mexican Food Embassy is an upscale-casual restaurant chain that offers delectable Mexican cuisine and evocative interiors. Since it opened in 1989, the restaurant chain has established locations in more than a dozen states. It has been on the leading edge of menu creativity, combining consistency in food quality, colorful plate presentations, superior service, value, and a Mexican courtyard atmosphere to give guests a gracious, memorable, dining experience. Abuelo s restaurants are designed on classical Mexican themes with such elements as sky-painted ceilings, imported stonework and statues, and hand-painted murals depicting the history of Mexico. Abuelo s was selected by Gourmet Magazine as one of the Top 10 restaurants in Texas. There are two Abuelo s restaurants in the Dallas area. The west location is in Plano, Texas on Dallas Parkway.
