At Above Grade Level - Brentwood we look forward to helping your child through private, individualized, in-home tutoring. Our qualified and enthusiastic tutors tailor their instruction to your child's strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. We look forward to collaborating with your family and teachers to help ensure a positive and successful learning experience. We carefully match students with tutors by personality, expertise, and schedules. All tutoring is done individually and in a student's home or a space like the Brentwood Library to ensure that students can be in a comfortable space where they can focus. We are happy to coordinate our tutoring efforts with your child's teacher to ensure success. We are happy to work with your child in a range of subjects including Math, Language Arts, Writing, Sciences, Social Studies, and Humanities. Additionally, we enjoy helping students prepare for the ACT, SAT, and PSAT, including strategies, time management, and question analysis. We also provide students with academic coaching to improve their organization, time management, and study skills. We offer free online skill level evaluations for students in reading comprehension and math (K-8, pre-algebra, and algebra) to help us understand students' strengths and weaknesses before tutoring begins. We use this information to help develop a customized tutoring plan that addresses any gaps a student may have in his or her background skills. Our tutors bring a wide breadth and depth of knowledge to share with your student. They have experience teaching and working with students to help them understand difficult subjects, and also to develop their organization and study skills. Most importantly, our tutors enjoy working with students and getting to know them and their learning styles so that they are able to adjust to individual children's learning needs.
