Each load of green lumber that arrives in the company s yard is stuck with Breeze Dried stickers at one-foot centers. The firm applies end waxing on thicker as well as opened grained species to prevent checking. It covers top packs in the air-dry yard to prevent sun and water damage. Abenaki Timber dries lumber on the basis of a drying schedule that is unique to each one. After drying, the lumber is reinspected and packaged with steel strapping and pile bottoms strapped on to provide ease of handling.
